Synopsis

Leon wants to talk to his manager about her leadership style (he, and the other team leaders, think she is too autocratic). But she disagrees with him.

How can Leon turn her around so that she becomes motivated to change her behaviour?

One of the many challenges faced when coaching is getting the other person to agree with you. This is the coaching challenge facing Leon. He and his fellow team leaders are not very happy about their manager, Kate, so Leon decides he will go and talk to her.

Leon approaches Kate in an open-plan area and asks if they can talk. Kate is reluctant to go somewhere private, and ideally, Leon should have made a time to talk with her later. Instead he decided to grab the opportunity and talk to her then and there.
